Welcome to the Feminist Library Rotterdam Charlois.
We are a spreading the feminist word by lending out books
Welcome to our community-led feminist mini library in Oud-Charlois, Rotterdam! Feminism has achieved much, however, there is still much to fight for! The Feminist Library Rotterdam believes in the power of knowledge and the importance of creating a safe and inclusive space for everyone in our neighbourhood. We are in need of autonomous, intersectional feminist spaces. The Feminist Library Rotterdam in Oud-Charlois strives to be such a space.
Our library is focused on providing access to books, journals, and other resources that explore feminist, queer and anti-racist theories, practices, and histories. We are spreading the feminist word by lending out books for free to people in Rotterdam, with the goal of supporting today’s feminist movement by sharing feminist knowledge. Our collection currently includes works in Dutch and English, but we are always looking to expand it with books in other languages and perspectives.
We aim to support intersectional feminist voices and perspectives, and to foster dialogue and collaboration among our members. We want to be a force for good, and we invite feminists to support the library an online community and use it as a space for sharing ideas and working towards total liberation from oppression, exploitation, and hierarchy.
If you would like to donate books on womxn history, anti-racist works, queer theory, or other books that you think fit the library, please get in touch! And whether you are new to feminism or have been involved in the movement for years, we invite you to join us and become a part of our growing community. Our library is open to everyone, and we welcome your suggestions and feedback as we strive to make it a truly intersectional and inclusive space.
Thank you for visiting our website and we hope to see you soon at our mini-library in Oud-Charlois.
